Septic · Liquid waste · Portable sanitation

We partner with the best environmental companies in the Midwest.

An alliance of family-owned service businesses across seven states.

What we are

Bur Oak is not a private equity firm and not a national competitor moving into your market. We are an alliance of like-minded owner-operators. We buy family-owned septic, liquid waste and portable sanitation businesses, and we run them rather than flip them.

Every company that joins keeps its name, its logo, its phone number and its people. What changes is what sits underneath: the back office, the fleet capital, the recruiting pipeline and the disposal capacity that a single operator was never going to build alone.

Why owners partner with us

Our alliance mission.

01

Achieve

Help you reach the financial outcome you have been working toward for thirty years.

02

Facilitate

Build the exit around your timeline, whether that is next year or year ten.

03

Grow

Put trucks, crews, demand and disposal capacity behind a route book that has been capped for years.

04

Benefit

Leave your people better off, and your customers unable to tell that anything changed.

Autonomy

Strength in numbers, with the power of autonomy.

You keep operational control of the business you built. Pricing, scheduling, hiring, and how a job actually gets done stay with you.

What you gain is the economics of belonging to a larger, well-resourced group: fleet financed at scale, benefits a five-truck company cannot buy, a recruiting pipeline that actually produces licensed operators, and receiving capacity that keeps your trucks close to home.

Who we look for

You probably already know if this is you.

We are deliberately narrow. Better to be the obvious buyer for forty companies than a possible buyer for four hundred.
